How to become a Volunteer
The Jubilee Volunteers should work by the side of the pilgrims and represent a point of reference for them. This requires not only a spirit of service on the part of the Volunteers, but also that a guarantee of their trustworthiness be given to those who will coordinate their services.
Therefore, to become a Jubilee Volunteer, you must send a letter of recommendation from your pastor or from the coordinator of the ecclesial movement to which you belong. Seminarians and novices who would like to give part of their free time or vacation for this service should be recommended by their rector or formator.
To become a candidate, you must fill out the application form for volunteers.
Once you have filled out the form, inserting your personal information, you will be able to access the area reserved to volunteers using your email address and the password you have chosen.
In the reserved area you will need to upload:
- A passport-type photo photograph, in which your face is clearly visible;
- a scan of a valid identification document ;
- a scanned letter of recommendation from your pastor or the person responsible for the ecclesiastical organization to which you belong (Making sure that the contact information of the person making the recommendation is legible).
In the reserved area you will be able to indicate the weeks and major events for which you are available for service. You can add or remove weeks of service up to 5 days before the service begins. Once the number of volunteers needed for a given week has been reached, you will no longer be able to select that week.
Finally, you will also be able to see if your application has been accepted on the reserved area of the web site.
