The official seat of the Archbishop of Singapore - The Cathedral of the Good Shepherd, is undergoing restoration works.
The opening mass for the Jubilee Year of Mercy for the Archdiocese was held on 8 Dec 2015 (Tues) at 7:30pm at the Church of Divine Mercy which is located in the eastern part of Singapore.
The first mass was celebrated on 12 Dec 2009. Special arrangements were made for Father Piotr Prusakiewicz from Poland to bring the relic of Saint Faustina, the patron saint of Divine Mercy. For three nights, Father Piotr led the congregation through devotions to the Divine Mercy and Mass to prepare the community. On 9 January 2010, then Archbishop Nicholas Chia dedicated and blessed the new Church of Divine Mercy.
Today, the church is home to about 4000 parishioners.
