The first recorded baptism was on the 22-03-1913 by Fr Nicoh S.J from St Patricks Ch. in Bulawayo and the first church school was opened in January 1924

The monastery is a Benedictine foundation that dates from 1996. It is a spiritual center where people come for retreats, spiritual direction and sacrament of reconciliation
